The Sunday Sandlot Series is a throwback to the “good old days” and really is the foundation upon which the Sandlot Society was created.

This is not a league: there are no teams, coaches, or umpires. There will be bases, balls, bats, helmets, and catcher’s equipment for the kids to use and adult supervision to make sure things don’t get out of hand. Players from the age of 9 through 14 are welcome to play, though these age limits are flexible.

Players will meet on Sundays at 1:00 PM from June 14th through August 16th. The location will be the ball fields at Perkins Middle School, though this may be subject to change from time to time – keep an eye on this page for updates.

Players will pick Captains and teams, decide where they’re going to play, make their own batting lineups, and call their own outs. Players will learn some of the skills that are harder to find in the age of video games: working well with others, teamwork, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, sportsmanship, etc. Most importantly though, they’ll have fun!

All participants must register prior to playing. For those who are registered, you must bring your Sandlot Card with you in order to play. For guests, you must bring your Guest Ticket and signed Release in order to play. You may register online or at the field prior to playing.
